This is a drawing of a Pfhor fighter I drew. I was going to finish it (you know, put arms on him and all) but I got bored.

That looks like it was coming along pretty good.
I wish you would finish it.

the compound look in the eyes isn't right
Its just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?

Yeah, but besides that your drawing looks great!! You have inspired me to draw a marathon figure and post it up here. But knowing my drawing skills, it will probably stink. [MLaugh]

Hi all,

Sorry I have to do this here, may I ask the point in restricting access to posting new threads? Oh well, no big deal. First off, Aleph One has become EXCEPTIONAL. I'm so glad that there are enough people putting the effort into this project to make it worth-while.

That said, I'm looking for the original Marathon Infinity desktops. I believe they were included on the install CD for MI, and I can't seem to find them anywhere. There were maybe 10 or 12 of them, and they were so dark and creepy, just the perfect feel for the confusion of MI. Well anyway, if anyone has them, perhaps you could post them here for posterity, or send me an email at verndogz (at) mac.com.

Thanks,
Vern.

Heck yeah. Hey Dodopod, you should draw some more aliens like a cyborg or a S'pht.

Thanks for the reply, you may be right about that. I remember using them as desktops, so I just assumed thats what they were. They were some really great looking full color sketches of different scenes in MI. One of them is below (I think it was altered to include the MARATHON). I recall they were in a folder on the MI disk (was it the "battle pack" set or something to that effect?). If you all haven't seen them, you should, they set the whole mood of that game as I played it (as my desktop pics).

Thanks,
Vern.

I think I know of what you're referring to. I believe I have the collection on one of my internal hard drives that I don't have access to right now, but you can easily find them on the internet. In fact, just go to Craig Mullin's website, http://www.goodbrush.com.

From there go to Commercial Work > Bungie

All his chapter screens should be there. I don't think they're in standard desktop format though, but it wouldn't be too hard to resize them in Photoshop.

YUP! That's the guy... although they are different I think. It might be my mind playing tricks on me, but they seem to be updated somehow or altered slightly from what I remember. Also, there is at least one that is missing (one of my favorites) of the (insert name here... flying guys that shoot green disks) shooting at a marine. First off, everyone should check the page out... the pics are great. Second, I'd still like to see the originals at the very least to verify them. Any luck anyone?

Yeah, some of the chapter screens weren't at that website, and the one for Volunteers is reversed.

I'm currently working on a drawing of a S'pht compiler similar to the one I did of that Pfhor fighter. I'll try to get it up here soon.
