Um. Hi.
I've been playing Marathon and A1 since 2004, but I lost interest in it around 2005. I've just renewed interest in this old engine, and this is the first time I've been to the Pfhorums. You may recognize my name from Carnage or Total Destruction on fileball. I suck at FPSs, ironically ? I can't get past Confound Delivery (M∞) on easy, though I've reached Habe Quiddam (M1) on kindergarten. I like to think of myself as a pretty good mapmaker, physics maker, and artist; though I've never submitted any proof of that, I've compared myself to current standards and think I rank favorably. I still can't figure out how to fix those damn bouncy walls, though >.<
So...
Here's a little reward for taking the time to read my hello topic: Destruction, the latest version of Total Destruction. Please give crits on that, too.

So I should post it as the .phyA?
The board says 'I'm not permitted to upload that type of file'. I don't know how to zip it, nor bin it. And I'm using Mac OSX 10.3.9.

You can make a zip file in Mac OS X by control clicking on it and saying "Make Archive"
This is a physics model? If so, I can already tell you, it sucks.

I thought so. Thanks for the tip, Treellama. I'll try to improve it. Exactly how does it suck? Weapons dumb or anything? I just made it out of amusement, if you're wondering ? I wasn't trying anything intended for netplay. It was made solely to pwn Pfhor with.

All physics models suck. You can't fix that by improving it.

Not all of them suck.
And as soon as I find one that doesn't, I'll be back with a convincing argument.

I suggest TC++ 1.4. That's one darn good physics model and true to the originals, plus it makes some pretty cool effects. (hint flamethrower)

No custom physics will ever beat Greased-Up Scotsman.
I have >25 physics files and.......
Sonic Speed/Quickdraw is good for LAN games. (Both in Seanyx big a** physics pack)
A friend of mine made a great one generically called "balance," but the fists crash everyone's game for some reason and the SMG refuses to be edited, so it remains on our hard drives. We MIGHT release it once it's fixed.
