ggrr very annoying problem

basically, whenever I go into Preferences in Aleph (when Im running it with both M2 and Infinity) the program always quits/crashes whenever I press 'ok'. This would not be such a big problem...only it DOES NOT save the changes I made to the preferences before it quits. This essentially means that I cant edit any of the preferences in the program...ever. any ideas?
Is there an assertion error in the log file?
Are your preferences writeable?
What OS and Aleph One build?

Try ditching your preferences.
That's all suggestion I have. But again, I'm not aleph one developer, and I don't know much about this. Sorry.

I can't find my log file...I don't know where it went after I installed the app.
I don't know if my preferences are writeable...I'm not gonna lie, I don't know what that means!
I'm using OS 10.3.9 and Aleph 0.16.2
and Assassingao, I tried that, no luck I'm afraid!
