While it looks pretty cool as far as I can make it out;
Could you either use a macro function on the camera, or at least move the marine farther from the camera. If you have a scanner you could also scan it since a lego-figure is fairly flat any way. That way the details of the Marine would be more distinguishable, and your hard work could be better appreciated.

Sounds like a good idea to me. 7th Marine Division would be a cool idea.
