chinkeeyong wrote:Bloody freaking awesome. May I suggest blurring the card's face and desaturating it? That would make it look more authentic.

Also, add grain. Pile it on like a sack of potatoes.

Selecting card face - 1.5 seconds
Blur filter - 1 second
Desaturate - 0.5 seconds
Grain filter - 1 second

1.6 sec + 1 sec + 0.5 sec + 1 sec = 4 sec

3 sec + 4 sec = 7 sec

You just got owned.

I'd say vice versa on the times for those two. just to be pedantic and annoying.

The card face is irregular and difficult to select in under a second with the Lasso, whereas desaturating is just a shortcut key away.

I simply meant I don't care about improving it at all.
I just got bored and put it together. This time I decided to put it somewhere besides my trash.
Although your input is appreciated. I don't Care! You improve it if you like it so much.

Here's the first living fighter I've ever done... the pose is kinda crappy and my scanner betrayed me, but I think it's pretty good.

His head's too small, his limbs are too short and I'm pretty sure fighters wear less bulky armor, but good overall.

Its just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?

Crude and un-funny. But then you said "Stupid" and "on-the-clock @ work", so it's awesome. [MUp]

A sketch of an enforcer, next to a window, on Battle group seven's carrier.

Took a couple hours, but I was really bored. Sorry if the large file is a problem.

[edit]. What? You mean there's a shortcut for desaturating?... shit.

Not bad, but the enforcer could be more accurate and the environment could be more suggestive of the Pfhor texture set instead of being a generic bay. I like the ship outside the window.

I'm a huge fan of M1 enforcers now. I made an unarmed enforcer sprite when I was bored:
(BTW, this sprite conforms entirely to the color table. Feel free to use it anywhere.)

edit: on a roll here

This is art of the Marine. Since it's orange, you could say it's a self portrait.

This is a short ode to the blue compiler. (The gem's too small btw)

I was drawing from memory- the computer was in use and I had no reference. I remembered they have two toes on each foot and three eyes, but enforcers have two smaller ones on the side...
I like the ship outside the window.
Thanks.

I like your marine. what did you use to draw them? The bold, simplified style and curved strokes make it look almost like it's been inked in, the old school way.

Does it really look that way? [MTongue] I use Flash, and I've been practicing art for about 3 years. First I draw the outlines with my tablet, undoing any mistakes, then I use Flash's built-in vector tools to color it in.

edit: I think M2 enforcers are my new favorite unit. (This line art was so damn complex I just gave up on shading it.)

I especially love how that one on the right looks cheeky as it (she?) fires.

On another note, check out this cool thread meta-fanart!!

Odd coincidence? Or deliberate malice?
