Several community members have requested an add-on where the weapons look like they are on the ground. Well I am currently finishing up this little add-on and it will be available in the next release of WEP. (The authentic versions will still be enabled by default, but a separate script will be provided for those who want to use this add-on.)

NOTE: The new Assault Rifle ammo will only be enabled when the add-on script is enabled.

While I'll probably stick with the original, I like that you are giving people the option to play Marathon how they like.

If only I could rotate around them in true 3D like Descent (dreams*)[Descent with Mods, not original]

Just out of curiosity, how long does it take to render one weapon, then make a sprite out of it, approximitely.

It depends upon what I'm rendering. For these new sprites, it takes around 5-10 minutes to set up the scene, render time is usually a couple of minutes and then maybe 5-10 minutes getting it in game. And then add extra time for testing and often re-rendering if the sprite didn't come out the way I wanted it to.

Looks great! I actually always wished the sprites were actually lying on the ground, instead of floating... the AR looks a bit flat imo, still good though.

Very nice but the AR clips are different sizes as ammo and on the gun.

Yum. You know what'd be funny? A script that prevented objects from shrinking or growing in apparent size as you moved closer or farther away to it.

That sounds stupid and unfun, not funny.

Sorry guys. I put this project on the side for awhile and kind of forgot about it. I honestly don't really have any plans to finish this. I've moved on to working with Unreal Engine 3.

Want to release your source files for others to render/improve?
