Re: Marathon Chronicles
skybox = background/landscape textures, I presume? That's what I was thinking of, yeah. wrt: Wheeling Hubcap Factory--while watching that, I imagined certain walls in the outer hallway sliding around when out of view to reveal or hide stuff, as if you're going to a different corridor every time you...

Re: Marathon Chronicles
I do feel better thanI did the other day. ^^ I think a lot of it should be fairly doable – it most likely depends primarily upon good scenery objects, which I’m sure you’re capable of creating. Pfh’Joueur has a lot of beautiful plant scenery, as does Tempus . For that matter, I suspect it’s possible...

Re: Marathon Chronicles
Both of those look good. I’ll have to think about how I’d duplicate the first as an environment in Weland. Thanks. ^^ I'unno how much drawing I'll get done today (didn't take enough breaks and reached back-straining levels, I think), but I did finish this up early this morning: chronicles - outskir...

Re: Marathon Chronicles
Some concepts I drew, following the above: chronicles - jjaro council room.png Primary council room. It was always meant to look imposing, but didn't see too many outsiders dragged into it until Jjaro society began going down the tubes. Inspired by (garbled) memories of a scene in Torin's Passage. c...

If you can open .gz files, the A1 version can be found here. If there's any other download links floating around, hopefully someone else can point to 'em.ForeverBlackened wrote:I have been wanting to try Fell since it has like 6 endings and has zombie Pfhor. Any way I can find it?

Re: My favorite Marathon scenarios. (And least favorite.)
The Man, have you ever played through Fell? It was one of those scenarios that was apparently talked about a lot back in the day, but is rarely mentioned now. Haven't gotten very far in it myself (not sure what the second level expects me to do), but I know that it's got multiple plot branches.

Re: My favorite Marathon scenarios. (And least favorite.)
Pfh’Joueur and Gemini Station are my two dark horse scenarios that no one else seems to remember well. I remember Pfh'Joueur! Haven't played Gemini Station yet, though... In terms of scenarios not listed here, I really enjoyed Susannah (short, minimalist scenario) and The Classified 19 (its story w...

I especially like how the texture in the last pic turned out; looks a lot more marble-y.

Re: Eternal X 1.2
Regarding level tweaks--I feel like I mentioned this before somewhere, but I'd give the player more time to outrun the rising coolant in "This Message Will Self-Destruct", if the escape sequence is going to be kept. Practically the moment the wires are broken, you're up to your shins in co...

Swimwear (mostly OCs). Cortana and Hauteclere (OC). Bungie Day '18. ...and a sort of thing I don't normally cr...

Re: Faint Ideas Pfhor a Potential Project (Or Story, Who Kno
I like the idea of the world looking progressively more messed-up as the scenario goes on, but deliberately mis-aligning textures might be confusing in a bad way (not to mention look amateurish). To flesh out the idea a little (I ruminated for about an hour):1. There will be an AI that slowly distor...

Re: Rubicon and Tycho
There's a guide here; you enter on either Rozinante IX (by either inserting the chip Durandal gives you into a slot and following Tycho's instructions) or Rozinante XI (no chips, but Tycho still tells you what to do).

Re: Eternal X 1.2
Lookin' good! Within the constraint that the new textures have to fit in the same layout as the old ones so as not to create tons of new work retexturing everything, I'd love to hear any ideas you have. I have re-dos of all of S'pht texture 38's colour variants, but I can't upload them all here beca...

Re: Eternal X 1.2
At the moment I haven't really got much commentary more insightful than what I've already offered (that's a problem on my end, not yours); I've thought about offering rough visual ideas for some textures, but if you've already got specific things in mind for all of them, I'm not sure how useful it'd...

@Flippant Sol: Man, is the Doom community THAT harsh on Marathon? How high are their standards if they think the shotguns' sound effects are "anemic"? wrt: your terminal idea, I'm not sure about having all non-transport terminals be audio, but maybe the AIs could periodically contact the S...

Re: Finished Phoenix for the first time
I don't have a detailed review of Phoenix, just that I remember it being a fairly engaging scenario with some really frustrating bits here and there (ex. "Another Dimension", ye gods). Also, while the story isn't too complex, things do progress just enough to not feel like an errand boy pl...

Trying to find some long-deleted fanart
I mentioned this in the Stupid Questions Thread to no response; The Man suggested I make a separate thread, and since it's bothering me again, here be a thread. I'm trying to find "The Marathon AIs" by Phobos-Romulus; even he doesn't seem to have the file anymore, so I'm hoping someone her...

Hm...no specific text/dialogue in mind yet, but what about a term showing Tycho mid-dissection? It might look like a normal junk terminal at first before Tycho's thoughts (such as they are at this point) abruptly cut in.
