Also if there are any developers who are interested in working with me on S7 they should definitely reach out. http://rkuykendall.com/

Re: Can no longer sign up for Simplici7y?
Hey, somebody emailed me about this. A fix is ready, but I can't access the server until Monday. Do you have a preferred language treellama? If I ever rewrote S7 it would probably be in Python so I could get the free Django admin / user system / permissions. The biggest downside is I need a better w...

Re: Do we need a poll?
The code that converts old-pfhorums URLs to new-pfhorums URLs needed a few additions for links directly to posts. The link should redirect correctly now.Destiny wrote:A poll for what? The link just sent me back to the main page.

Re: Pfhorums were down
VM went down again. On Christmas eve, so sorry for delay. Added friend who works at company that hosts it to my uptime robot, so he'll get notified when I do.

Hey! Just a symptom of our free hosting. The VM was down for some reason, probably company related. Sorry for the downtime.

Also the guitar definitely gave it a Halo vibe. I like seeing the music gap there bridged a bit.

Re: Chomber Cover - Marathon Soundtrack
I am unreasonably excited about this. I love the Marathon soundtrack so much. Craig Hardgrove's 'Leela (acoustic)' was my ringtone for probably a decade, and I actually used to listen to it on a loop for hours.
This cover was fantastic, and I'm really looking forward to any more you produce.

Re: Mark forums read
this function already existed on the Pfhorums, it was just at the bottom of the main page, but I appreciate it anyway Shit, nice catch. For some reason I remember this being something TL really wanted back in the day that I couldn't get on the new board, so I decided to try again. Oh well, it's eas...

Re: Simplici7y status update
Having a solid static mirror is way more important than the top-month page having a long tail for a while.
On an unrelated note, I committed the changes I made to get S7 runnable:

Re: Simplici7y status update
I've also fixed the hourly recalculation of daily/weekly/monthly download counts, so Top 24 should work again: http://simplici7y.com/?order=day Unfortunately, grabbing all files for the mirror generated a lot of downloads, so those pages will take a while to return to normalcy. Right now it's saying...

Re: What is the DS_STORE
The only thing I don't understand now is what the hell happened to everyone? Crater Creator & Philltron told me about the time when this community was much more active. Even without them telling me, it's also evident by all the abandoned projects on Simplici7y (ie. tim4i). This is also why I do...

Email Spam
So we had a spam account PM a bunch of people (at least two) which generated email notifications for users that haven't visited in a long time. This is really unfortunate. I've pruned every user older than a month with 0 posts (~700) and removed PM privileges for new users. I'm also looking at upgra...

That was an upper-bound on the entire www folder from `df -h`. The actual `public/version/file` folder is 8.9gb, which also includes all past versions of files that aren't linked for download.

Yeah, I was hoping that at least held off until the weekend. MySQL is being killed due to memory limits. Tried a fix and rebooted again.

Re: Simplici7y status update
Another option I'm honestly considering is just rewriting the whole damn thing. I'm a much better and faster coder than I used to be, and Simplici7y isn't that complicated. I could probably get something pretty good in a weekend. However, I'd prefer to at least try to get the current site online ear...
