@ PerseusSpartacus I'll give some more advice you don't want to hear. ;) While some people on this forum may come off as... um... mean-spirited, they are actually a great source of criticism that should be taken seriously. Their criticism was so good it actually killed my own project... (well, Raul ...

I hadn't reached Bola Soup yet, so decided to skip ahead and check it out. First attempt: Spawned, looked around, took one step, disintegrated instantly by TC hunters and enforcers. I definitely laughed out loud, thanks $lave. Regardless, I think it's a good map. Difficulty doesn't make something ba...

Didn't you have something that was almost complete at one point? I did, but I had a serious Shapes file mishap. My official line is that the project is dead as a result, but if I ever find the willpower and time to repair the Shapes file I'll release the project (things that are complete: Sounds, I...

If you're talking about the reboot that I was working on it... it's dead.

Emulators like Sheepshaver are much better for letting you experience Pathways into Darkness how it was meant to be experienced.

Xilef's engine looks like it could be awesome as well.

http://hl.udogs.net/files/Uploads/%20User%...%20v1%20b19.zip b19 is up. I have to say, Deadfall is excellent. I played several levels today and have found it to be quite enjoyable. The Deadfall team has done great work! Also, the first thought that struck me while playing was that Deadfall's style ...

Hopefully in the near future this will all end with MoppyPuppy being banned. Why he has been allowed to stay here for so long is beyond me. Until then, there's not a whole lot to be done and there's no point worrying about it. I sympathize Kurinn, I really do. MoppyPuppy is like nails on a chalk boa...

Anyway, if it hurts people's ideas of what the marine looks like, I'll make the player wear gloves. Only one person seems really bothered by it and someone will always disagree with your decisions. Personally, I think you should work on the more important things rather than redoing the WiH graphics...

Shifting a few collections around is video game development? Is that what you do in video game development class? You know there's more to it than that! Shadowbreaker has to work with the Images, Shapes, Sounds, Map, Physics files, etc. While a lot of it is just porting, you can learn a lot from po...

@ ack45: As a matter of fact, I do happen to care about Lh'owon's opinion. The comment you are quoting has nothing to do with you and I don't see why you feel the need to get involved.

Alexander is making an awesome MP game with what will be a great survival mode. Considering he never really told us what the story was about we are not loosing some amazing story we've been waiting years for (since I don't know what it is, I don't how great it is Alex ;) ). MoppyPuppy, you do unders...

What I mean by "ultimate load-out" is all of the most expensive gear put into one life. Not an uber powerful choice, just all of the most expensive gear available in that level. For example, the S'pht'kr Defender should be able to have the max speed enhancement and shield separation item b...

Marathon Freedom is far from a waste of time. It's been one of the happiest Marathon times I've had in a long while. That being said, I can see what Lh'owon and Effigy are talking about. Why not put a level cap or add an unlocks system where you get something new, but small, after each level? It's m...

Well, I just finished the last screen the other day! I'm not going to post in though, unless Winter Wolf wants me to. Go ahead and post it if you want to, its a good piece of artwork and you should show it off! The public won't be seeing it through the actual game for a while. If you do post it tho...

Ok, I'll start off by saying I understand how frustrating it can be for fans to complain about things a modder (or game creator as you seem to be) does. I often get frustrated by certain criticisms of MaraPiD. So I apologize if I offended you with my review in any way! I just like to give a good cri...

Warning! Incoming Review! I loved the new version of Marathon: Freedom. It adds a lot more to the game and it is fun to play! A new release will come soon. Three new levels. I just wanted to tell you this now so you won't skip reading this and just download instead. Replay God of Dread, if you please. My new solution is more in keeps with my original idea of sneaky aversion. Not a big change, but you might like it. New le...

Fair enough on the Enforcers. I have always been a fan of the theory that there is a time lapse between M1 and M2 that means Pfhor in M1 are using antiquated technology compared to M2 Pfhor. Whatever you decide to do I think it'll be cool, though. In retrospect, why not just make M2 Enforcers strong...

I like Lh'owon's suggestions for improving the 2nd level. Good suggestions! Ok, the Enforcers have to be separate classes. However, there really is nothing to base the armor assessment on. In general, you will notice that all of the Pfhor in M1 look different to their counterparts in M2. This could ...

The M1 and M2 Enforcers are basically equal to each other in health and speed. The only difference is weapon choice and looks. There is no need to distinguish between them as classes. Make an option like you have for the BoBs to change their looks. Instead of choosing between short and long hair mak...

I just played the most recent version of Marathon: Freedom. Here are my notes: - The "God of Dread" mission text is still a bit cut off. Not a big deal. - The "Beaucrat Enforcer" on the 2nd mission should be changed to "Willful Class" to fit with the Aggregrate Class. -...

Hey CubicCircle, The name Marathon Freedom. I only had issue with the name because it seemed at first to be unrelated to the game. You have explained it now and I think its appropriate knowing the reasoning. Name is good now! Weapons. I did not mean that too many weapons is a problem. I meant that I...
