Re: Oath of the Scenario Developer

I remember when I was 13 and thought I could make an entire scenario.

You know most of them are going to head to the Marathon forums on Bungie.net if/when this happens.

Unless there's a rule that you can only talk about the new game, there. Maybe there'll be a redirect then. Maybe.

As for content differences, I took a quick run through the first real level, and the most important thing missing is the music. Most of it was excellent, and even worked as ambiance for the prologue level. Speaking of which, does anyone happen to have those midi files laying around somewhere? I'd l...

Gerald thought for a moment before he piped up again. "If I had known earlier, I'd have said so. If this place was like any other part of the Marathon, I'd take point and find one in no time. But this place is designed for comfort, and that means, well, anything useful is hard to find." He...

Gerald now realized that he was supposed to know where the nearest computer terminal was. "How am I supposed to know where one is?" he said while fumbling for a fresh magazine for his assault rifle. "I never worked on this part of the Marathon, I never came to this part of the Maratho...

Gerald, for the hundred-thousandth time this night, frowned. The burst of adrenaline from the newcomers, the vivisection, and the troubling sight of the innocent but stricken boy had brought him into full consciousness, and emotion had flooded back into him. As he watched the vivisection of the alie...

When I was a kid, I thought he was saying either "Marathon Sod" or "Marathon Song."

Marathon Sod is actually a small business in my area, so I have a laugh whenever I pass it.

I didn't see this posted anywhere, so if it has been, I'm sorry. (not really) I'd just like to point out that Craig Hardgrove, has a new site and has completed his remakes of the Marathon Soundtrack. I personally love his style, and I'm happy to hear these new songs after a few years of an incomplet...

Sure. I don't often listen to music for its own sake; I usually hear music as part of something else, like a game. So much of the music I like, I like in part because I associate it with the game or other media. The more I think about it, I've never run into a case where I loved a game but hated it...
