Re: Pfhor: Primus or Prime
Although there's no reference that I can find to "Pfhor Prime" in any of the official Marathon terminals or documentation, in Infinity Tycho makes reference to "Gr'ndl Prime" which is presumably a Pfhor-occupied planet used as a conditioning base of some kind. The use of Prime th...

Re: Games Using The Marathon 2 Engine - A Review
I also vaguely recall an educational game being created which used the M2 engine to teach kids what it's like to be disabled. Or something like that. Don't remember the name though, and can't find anything about it online.

Re: Marathon Phoenix video commentary
You mention the original release version of the final room of the last level being totally ridiculous, and I absolutely remember it. I played that room over and over for weeks until I finished it. I think I finally figured out a way to force the third wave of enemies by riding the platform too early...

Re: Marathon Phoenix video commentary
Yo TK, I really enjoyed your discussion of weapon balance on ep. 20, really eye opening. I think in the end your concept worked out just great, every weapon feels useful and fun, and I still find myself turning to fusion on mechanical enemies and flame and bullets for organics. Maybe it's just habit...

Wait, uh oh... "Downloaded 6 times".
Anyway, I'll probably post this to Simplici7y just for recordkeeping's sake.

Re: Looking for a few maps...
Mother of all necrobumps here, but bizarrely I find myself also looking for my own Map Pack from nearly 10 years ago, Fabrefaction (including Communist Flirting Falls Flat, as mentioned in this thread). It was posted on Fileball, but never on Simplici7y. If anybody has it, I'd be extremely pleased t...

I miss you guys so much.Wrkncacnter wrote:I think it's important that you send it to me. My justification is that I don't really want it at all. Let's see if this ends up being the best reason.

Free Marathon Discs, Manuals, etc (from an old-timer)
Hey folks, whoever "folks" may be in this day and age. Although I've been distant and life has been a series of swift and drastic changes, I still have a major affinity for this game and it's community. Right now I find myself shedding weight in many different ways, most importantly by sel...

You could, of course, do it the old-school way: 1. Un-merge the Infinity map file, and find the terminals file. 2. Copy the two gibberish terminals from Ne Cede Malis and Aye Mak Sicur, paste them into a single text file. 3. Save this text file, then change the extension to .sit 4. Unstuff this file...

I've been playing a mexican telecaster for years; I've made some modifications (replaced the neck pickup with a humbucker, replaced the jackplate with an electrosocket, added straplocks, had it readjusted for a custom string gauge) so all in all it's probably cost me what, $500? I've been playing sh...

Nice. I don't have that many pedals, but I think my favorite pedal is the Boss Metal Zone. That's a pretty manly pedal. the MT-2 is a pretty nice pedal, and rather versatile for both rock and for noise, but I get more boom out of my ODB-3, more grind out of my old-school RAT, and more weird noises ...

Gotta love the Digitech Whammy. Here's mine: Yeah, the Whammy is great for certain situations, but other times I'd rather use my BOSS PS-3... wait, wtf? Why isn't the PS-3 in the photo? :-\ Oh, I left it at work. Anyway, they have very different sounds. The new Whammy (like mine) is great for vocal...
