Are you planning on keeping the enemies 3d? Unless I am mistaken, eduke32 allows 2d enemies such as the ones that appear in the Marathon games.
I am kinda assuming that since you are converting the weapons to the Marathon ones, that you might do the same for the enemies in the game.

Big news today is that Bungie is partnering up with Activision who will be publishing their games. I think more information can be found at the bungie website.
Their new games will be available to more consoles than 360 (PC hopefully).

A lot of the aliens in the original game were a lot more creepy because of the dark settings. Not to speak, if it was the first game, you didn't know what was coming next.
In the sequel M2, the game suddenly got bright and colorful, a little too colorful.

I think the game says the phfor have pale flesh and no body hair. So they don't have exoskeletons like an insect. I would consider helping if I was experienced with 3d modeling. It's something I have been interested in exploring to do but my life has been too busy for me to sit down and teach myself, the same goes for different forms of art and general game creation. In any case, best of luck on your project.
