I've used the search box but not found my answer.

I'm designing a scenario in Weland, and visual mode.lua. I had been using forge/anvil before i found this site etc.

Q1. How do you save changes (textures) you make to a map? When Im done I use escape and it deletes my progress!

Q2. What program edits sound files? Shapefusion crashes everytime I load a sounds file.

Thanks
Treellama
1. .save level (please read the README before posting in the future)
2. Make sure you pick sounds in the menu before you open the sounds file. ShapeFusion can import sounds, and edit some flags, but can't edit a lot of other stuff. For that, use Wail or Anvil.

VML doesn't automatically save anything. To do this, you must first hit the console key (look in preferences under controls to set this or figure out what it is). Type in the following:

.save level thisisthelevelname

...and hit enter. It should tell you that it saved your level somewhere.

EDIT:

Beaten like an egg conscripted into an omelet! Yes, by all means RTFM too, this is what documentation exists for. You wouldn't buy cold medicine and just chug that shit without reading the back of the label, would you?

EDIT PART DEUX:

Well, then again, maybe you would. Maybe you did? Don't do that, I guess, is the point.

Thank you for the responses, I actually had real the manual, but didn't see the console .save function.

When I open sounds in Shapefusion, it says, ''There was an error while loading.''

I'm a sound designer/music producer so want to try out some edits etc :)

Any ideas?

Any ideas?

Is there a reason you don't do what I suggested?

^ Picked sounds from the menu, then tried to open the sounds file.

Thats what happened :|
Treellama
Are you using a Marathon 2 sounds file? They open fine for me.
Asylum15
I tried M2 and Infinity.

It comes up with that both times :)
Treellama
I only get that error if I don't tell ShapeFusion I'm opening a sounds file. I'm still dubious that you're doing that.

After highlighting the Sounds file you want to open, select "Sounds (*)" in the silly Enable bar that Treellama is referring to, located at the bottom of the window. Included below is a screenshot of ShapeFusion's Open dialog.

Hope this helps so you may continue modding. Good luck!
