I know that all you people have been making marathon related fanart in some form or another. Post it up here so everyone else can enjoy it. Please don't steal art from teh intenets or from your friends/enemies, make it youself.

i shal start off with a sketch i made last week, its our favorite marine w/ a soulpatch (dono why), a MADD robot, and a hybrid between a BOB and a Cyborg.IPB Image

You see...I'm quite sure that Bungie tried to made pfhor looks scary but it's not possible with the engine's current technology...
MoppyPuppy
No... its like... Europe scary.

Ok well since moppy has posted up bad looking fighters, I did this with my lego (yes, I still play with lego... it fuels my creativity). I had no pieces with red eyes, so thisi s what I've got. I didn't just do this, I did it a few weeks ago.

Making a bionicle/throwbot one would take me a little longer. I'll post it up if I make one.

shadow, how did u do the staff?
Shadowbreaker
The pole of the staff was one of those jousting pieces in the knights kingdom. I got it a few years ago though, they've been around for a while.

And the green thing was a torch holder from one of the pirate ship lego sets. I turned it over and it looked like a staff head.

There have been over 1050 lego stories submited to digg since It went online In November 2004, I think legos are synonymous with geek. (and yes, If your reading a board for a small open source first person shooter created 10+ years ago - your a geek.)

*Reminisces about 8 story storage rack overflowing with legos*

more art less talk this was a GD project i had to do in my sketchbook. i decided to do it on a game but i could not do it on a game that has already been made, so i made a fiction game exclusivly for mac and ps3 (i got one reserved :P) called "Arms Race" [i got the name from the first marathon net map i made, its on fireball somewhere...] anyways i got some stuff in there from marathon and abuse the figure in the foreground was my idea of a cross between the marine and a hunter, which is where i came up with the design for the SM marine. all done in ink/copic marker.
IPB Image

i like tybo's work he has got one wicked style!
Grayswandir
Nice work Diesel...I think it's waaaaay to cluttered...but still, kick ass!

That's pretty awesome lookingdiesel, I love the chaos 13.png

You all have inspired me 11.png . I shall now draw something. *Spends 30 minutes of his life drawing something* Ah There we go.

I'm not the best drawer, especially not with computer graphics (Drawing by hand is so much easier, too bad I don't have a Tablet Pen.)

Well enjoy that. I like How I did the Globe, and its 3D look. Mmm Filters.
IPB Image

PS, I like tybo's clean art style (doesn't look like any erasing) but the pfhor scares me.
tybo
very nice, the first thought I had was "we have a young Craig Mullins over here!" when I saw that 11.png your style reminds me of him because of the looseness, leaving parts sketchy, etc

you should give it its energy shield! and maybe it's a wee bit too thin, I always thought they were wider.
Dieselfame3
ive made a couple of digital paints (3 so far) one was the SM trooper i posted up somewhere, the otherone was of a sketch in my sketchbook that i wanted to paint (ill post it up if you want to see it), then there is this one completed in under 2 hours 11.png I call it "giant in the ruins". the hulking figure is a design i came up with when i crossed the m1 enforcer with a jugg and gave it legs. on the far left is a dead Bob in a crashed MG-jeep. scatterd throughout are enforcers and a lone trooper.

IPB Image
Zott
Hmm yes, I kind of did it like Craig Mullins would do it purposely to see how it would come out. 11.png Not bad I must say.

Dieselfame3, that's an interesting drawinng, though the lights tend to catch the eye and its kind of hard to see the juggernaut.t Though I do kind of like how it looks like the lights are twinkling if you don't stare directly at the picture. Is that a lazor coming from the pfhor?

I made something else. :)

IPB Image

Heh, its the best I could do with the limited tools if gives me for the thing.

If I edit it in a photo editing program:
IPB Image
Not much better.

Here make your own. :)

Dieselfame3
i think the lazer your refering to is actually barbed wire and the lights on the jugg/enforcer are just spotlights
shongshong
I dont know why we dont have one... but we dont have a gallery section!
doesnt anyone find that weird? and if we do have one.. it aint on the main board section of everything.

I think every fan forum needs a home made artwork - section
Dieselfame3
there used to be a gallery feature but it was wack and switch said something i cant remember, oh well, this is our gallery now!
A1intheAntipodes

This topic needs to be cleaned or restarted
RyokoTK
Do you have a reason for that?
Dieselfame3
dont clear this!

heres a dp i did today in 1 1/2 hours, its the old doom box cover but its marathon now :P
IPB Image
RyokoTK
Some of those pictures could be really good, if you'd take the time to touch them up and get rid of the crayon-ish feel.
Dieselfame3
ill work on that, right now im just getting used to the feel of painting and not photo manipulating :/
Phobos-Romulus
Cool pic Dieselflame!
Samus
Edit: La La La de de do :D
