ok, who's trolling now? no, i won't load all my source code up to any server, no, it won't be open source, and you don't need to see my source codes to know that i have done all the work my own. i will do my best to compile the editor, with the features to load a marathon map with the according textures from the according marathon shapes file and walk through this map. so you will hopefully see i was right.

i will not do this to "proof" that i was right, i will do this to "give" something to the marathon community, although it seems like this so called community doesn't want to.

anyway, i feel sorry that so many people here were starting flaming, i should have known...next time i will think twice before i post good news (by some means or other)...

Whether he's trying to make it or not is beside the point. I actually gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was, up until that ridiculous claim about 2D / "2.5D" / 3D which betrays either a complete lack of knowledge about how game engines work, or an equally troubling misunderstanding of what those terms mean.

But, like I said, beside the point. You saw what happened to my poor Dialogs thread, and I was posting about something including screenshots, that other people were free to download and compile and check out. Now this guy comes here and posts about some miraculous editor (although, now it sounds more like Loren's map viewer, what a gift to the community) that got tragically lost due to an (in)convenient hard drive failure, what do you think the reaction is going to be like. This is why my progress updates are going off-site now.

Let me ask a simple question. Have any of you ported anything to other systems (ignoring Treelama)? Or better yet, has anyone here made anything that contributed to Marathon? Shitty multiplayer maps don't count. So stop acting like fucking assholes, like you had any experience in this sort of thing. 3. Gave constructive criticism for $lave's famous lua script.
